1. Legal Status & Purpose

OT Security Professionals Association aka OTSecPro is a not-for-profit educational entity incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, with its registered office in Gujarat, India.The Association operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes in the domain of Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control System (ICS) cybersecurity, in accordance with its Memorandum of Association (MOA).

All income and property of the Association are applied solely towards the promotion of its objects, and no portion is distributed to members as profit or dividend.

Domain Ownership, Usage & Authenticity.

OT Security Professionals Association aka OTSecPro, a non-profit community initiative, owns and operates the following domain names as part of its official digital infrastructure:

These domains are exclusively used for the organization’s official purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Hosting the official website and community platforms
  • Managing official communications (including email correspondence)
  • Conducting webinars, events, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Publishing content, resources, and community updates

All communications, content, and engagements originating from the above domains shall be considered authentic and authorized representations of OTSecPro

Impersonation & Misuse Protection

Any unauthorized use, imitation, or misrepresentation of the above domains, including the creation of similar-looking domains, email addresses, or digital assets intended to mislead, impersonate, or defraud stakeholders, is strictly prohibited.

OTSecPro does not take responsibility for any communication, transaction, or engagement originating from domains, platforms, or sources other than those explicitly listed above.

Users, members, and partners are strongly advised to verify the authenticity of communications and report any suspicious or fraudulent activity to the organization through its official channels

Governance Alignment

The usage and management of these domains are governed by OTSecPro’s applicable policies, including its Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines. By accessing or interacting with these domains, users agree to comply with the stated policies and the overarching mission of the organization.

2. Objects & Scope of Activities

The activities of OTSecPro are strictly aligned with its stated objects, including:

  • Promoting OT cybersecurity awareness, education, and training
  • Conducting research, publishing knowledge, and developing frameworks
  • Supporting protection of critical infrastructure (ICS, SCADA, DCS)
  • Collaborating with government, academia, and industry
  • Building a global community for knowledge-sharing and resilience

These activities are non-commercial

3. Voluntary Participation

All OTSecPro Leadership Team members, Core Team, Champions, Volunteers, and Advisors:

  • Contribute voluntarily on a part-time basis
  • Operate in their individual capacity
  • Participate independent of their respective employers

All activities, views, and contributions are community-driven and performed outside working hours. Such contributions do not represent or bind their respective organizations.

4. Non-Commercial & Financial Principles

In accordance with Section 8 provisions and the MOA:

  • Any remuneration, if applicable, shall comply with statutory approvals and governance norms
  • No profits, dividends, or financial benefits are distributed to members
  • Funds and resources are used solely to advance the objects of the Association

5. Membership, Funding & Community Initiatives

To support the sustainability and advancement of its objectives, OTSecPro may:

  • Establish community membership programs (free or paid tiers)
  • Accept donations, grants, sponsorships, and contributions (in cash or kind)
  • Conduct events, training programs, workshops, certifications, and initiatives
  • Collaborate with partners and institutions for funded programs aligned with its objects

All such activities shall:

  • Be undertaken strictly in furtherance of the Association’s objects
  • Not be construed as profit-making or commercial distribution activities
  • Ensure that all proceeds, income, or funds are reinvested solely for community development, education, research, and operational sustainability

No member or individual shall derive personal financial benefit from such activities, except as permitted under applicable laws and governance policies.

6. Official Communication Policy

To ensure authenticity and prevent misrepresentation:

  • Official communication is valid only if:
    • Issued by the OTSecPro Leadership Team; or
    • Originates from or is explicitly authorized through official OTSecPro communication channels (including domain-based email addresses listed in the Contact Us section)
  • As members contribute in an individual capacity:
    • Any communication not originating from or not copied to official OTSecPro domains shall not be treated as official
    • Such communication shall be considered personal opinion

OTSecPro shall not be responsible for actions taken based on unofficial communication.

7. Representation & Authority

No individual is authorized to:

  • Legally represent OTSecPro without written authorization
  • Enter into contracts, commitments, or obligations on behalf of the Association
  • Use OTSecPro identity for personal, financial, or organizational gain

Any such unauthorized representation shall be considered invalid and may lead to appropriate action.

8. Use of Content & Knowledge Sharing

All content shared through OTSecPro platforms (including webinars, documents, forums, and publications):

  • Is intended for educational and informational purposes only
  • Is provided on a best-effort basis
  • Does not constitute professional, legal, or consulting advice

Users are encouraged to seek independent professional guidance before acting on such information.

9. Reporting Misuse

OTSecPro maintains strict governance standards.

Community members are encouraged to report:

  • Misuse of OTSecPro name or identity
  • Unauthorized communication or representation
  • Any attempt to derive personal or organizational benefit

Reports may be submitted through official contact channels listed on the website.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • OTSecPro shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • No liability arises from reliance on community-generated content
  • Participation is voluntary and at the user’s own risk
